Iranian police could not stop boys and girls having fun with water
Iranian news search engine (Kodoom.com): Iranian authorities and some news media are alarmed because a mixed group of young boys and girls had fun with water in Abbas Abad's "Ab-o-Atash" Park, doing water fights and tossing water balloons. Behnam Atabaki, the Executive in charge of the Park indicates his regret over what he calls inability to stop the "immoral behaviors against norms!"
He has told reporters: "A large coordinated group of girls mostly with improper Hijab (Islamic cover) and boys engaged in water fights and tossing water balloons. We could not stop the water fun and neither could the military police. After three hours, we finally decided to shut down the water to the park to stop the group."
Several conservative media outlets in Iran have objected to scenes of the water fight, and wet dresses and covers of the girls. Iran has one of the largest youth populations in the world.
