Tensions between Ahmadinejad and Larijani brothers over financial corruption files
Iranian news service "Emrooz": In his recent speech in the City of Kerman, besides comments against Russia, Ahmadinejad also made sarcastic references to the powerful Larijani brothers who are in charge of the Iranian judiciary and legislative branches. Ahmadinejad implied that the two brothers are blocking the government from taking back a large piece of land around Tehran usurped by an "untouchable" person, apparently referring to the third Larijani brother, Mohammad Javad Larijani.
The report by Emrooz calls this open criticism a countermeasure against allegations of financial corruption - on the order of $1 Billion - brought in the parliament and the judiciary against his first Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi (in the picture with him).
Recently it was also reported that the Ph.D. degree of Mr. Rahimi was a sham.
