Iranian youngsters arrested for playing water fight
Iranian news search engine Kodoom.com: Following news that Iranian Police could not stop a group of young Iranian boys and girls playing water fight in a Park, today another group of youngsters planned to have fun with water in another Park but Police arrested them all, according to Tehran Police Chief Sajedinia. He warned "We will crush moves by youngsters trying to defy our norms" apparently referring to internet and text messages by youngsters calling others for mixed-gender fun and group activities in Tehran's Public places.
Yesterday, several conservative media outlets in Iran objected to scenes of the water fight, wet dresses and pushed-back covers of the girls. Iran has one of the largest youth populations in the world. Tehran is experiencing a very hot summer this year and there are no water parks in Iran. Boys and girls are not allowed to date or engage in any mixed-gender public activities.
