A Rising Star: Scottish-Iranian Singer, Drama Artist Darius Danesh
Darius was born in 1980 in Glasgow, Scotland, to Iranian father and Scottish mother, both doctors. He studied English Literature and Philosophy at Edinburgh University. He is a platinum-selling recording artist, songwriter, and popular stage actor in West End, England's world-class theatrical district and an equivalent to New York's Broadway.
Darius rose to fame on the hit British TV talent show Pop Idol. He has had five UK Top Ten singles and is managed by Simon Fuller, one of the world's most successful artist managers working with celebrities like David and Victoria Beckham, Claudia Schiffer, and The Spice Girls.
Darius' theatre work has included playing lead male roles in some of the most popular and longest running shows in West End, such as the musicals Chicago and Gone with the Wind.
Darius' long-term partner is Canadian model and actress Natasha Henstridge (shown in the picture), known for her role in the movie Species. He is currently writing for his third album in Los Angeles and London, and continuing his stage acting in Gone with the Wind as Rhett Butler.
