Summer for women: America, Iran, Turkey, Cannes!
Yesterday was the unofficial start of Summer in America. Swimsuit season is upon any woman who likes swimming. Check out the following suits women in different parts of the world can choose from. Some leave nothing for the imagination and others get the imagination racing! This much is true: they all beg onlookers to take a second or even third look.
Images from the Cannes film festial in France this week also showed a clear contrast in the demonstration of "femininity" between the Islamic and Western countries. On the one hand we saw Iranian actress Leila Hatami in the awards ceremony (related news here), boasted her "feminine" appeal in a baggy yet tasteful outfit. Yet other actresses used the opportunity to show off their femininity through sexuality.
Women’s clothing is indeed related to their own "sense of femininity," yet it has for so long been defined by a man’s standard. Is there anything out there that offers a modest form and function with a feminine twist? I’m really curious as I have not found one. I hear opportunity knocking, fashionistas!
