Three Sopranos from Iran amaze German Supertalent show (video)
The official site of Das Supertalent (German talent show) reports that Nazanin Ezazi, Shirin and Nasrin Asgari, or the Three Sopranos from Iran (LE TRE ORFEI) have advanced to the semifinal stage of the popular German TV's performing talent search contest (equivalent of American Idol).
Three Sopranos (Le Tre Orfei), Nasrin Asgari, Shirin Asgari and Nazanin Ezazi moved from Iran to Austria some 10 years ago to pursue academic and classical education in music. Their harmonic soprano voices uniquely blend dramatic lyrics with classical works from the world of opera and pop. On stage at Das Supertalent show, their performance of Nelle Fantasia from Ennio Morricone ended with a standing ovation by the audience and positive votes by all 3 judges.
The show's main celebrity judge, Dieter Günter Bohlen, is the famed German songwriter, singer, musician, producer and former member of pop-duo Modern Talking once popular in Europe and Iran. Dieter Bohlen asked the three Iranian girls about their dream. They pointed out that performing in Iram for women was only possible in small private parties so performing live with liberty for millions is a dream-come-true for them.
In 2010, Iranian-born Marashi outperformed some 35000 contestants to win that year's finale of the German Supertalent show (related link).
