Andy and Shani Join Voices to Help Neglected Children and Animals
This Friday in Washington DC's elegant Greenhouse Bistro, International Recording Artist Shani (Rigsbee) and Persian-Armenian pop star Andy (Madadian) will join voices in another exclusive fundraising Gala (event link) to benefit Voices out, a Non profit (pending status) charitable organization providing a voice to aid children and animals in neglectful, abusive and abandoned conditions.
Shani won a Humanitarian Award for producing “We Hear Your Voice,” a collaboration of great international voices offering help to International children in need. She also organized and personally financed a rescue effort after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans to save dying animals.
Shani and Andy have also adopted several animals of their own after rescuing them (dogs and horses). Other success stories can be found here.
In June, Voices out hosted their first major event in Los Angeles, which was a success thanks to the many volunteers and donors such as La Toya Jackson, Sepideh, The Olympic Collection, and Caspian Gallery, Inc.
In September, Voices Out traveled to Armenia to meet with refugees from Syria and Azerbaijan in Armenia. Voices Out has established a Youth Fellowship program to help refugee children in Armenia with art, music and sports activities. Andy and Shani are pictured with a group of young refugees in Armenia.
During their trip to Armenia, Shani and Andy also visited Centaur, a special sanctuary where rescued animals are used for emotional support and Hippotherapy for children with a range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism and spinal issues.
