Arash on Germany's Top Singles Music Chart

The Iranian-born Malmo-based Arash Labbaf is well known in Europe for his popular dance songs and this week his new song "She Makes Me Go" featuring Sean Paul - Jamaican Grammy-winning reggae artist - is on Germany's Top 5 most popular Singles Chart right behind Rihanna and Will.i.Am.

Arash Labaf was born in Tehran to a mother from city of Shiraz, and a father from city of Isfahan. At age 10 he moved with his family to Sweden. Prior to this, Arash's previous records were certified gold in 5 countries: Germany, Russia, Slovenia, Greece, and Sweden. His single "Boro Boro" song was also featured in the Hindi Bollywood film Bluffmaster! and he was the featured Artist of the Month on MTV India. Arash has said that the reason he chooses to sing in his native language is because of his "deep attachment to Iran and Persian culture.

Arash is multitalented. Recently he starred in Bahman Ghobadi's new film Rhino Season along with Italian Monica Belluci, Turkish Belcim Bilgin and Iranian Behrouz Vosoughi, all acclaimed movie stars in their homelands.

Arash has been known for his "party-loving" style yet he now calls himself a family man. He lives with his Iranian wife Behnaz and their newborn twins Darian and Donya in Malmo, Sweden.
