Best NVIDIA GPU Cards for Your Gaming Budget
Entertainment and Technology Blog, Product Review Editorial
Many Asians and Middle Easterners are avid gamers and Iranians are not an exception, especially during the current pandemic, which has forced gamers to stay home and spend more time on their favorite games. And if you are a gamer, you know that new graphically enticing video games put a high demand on your device's graphics processing unit (GPU). In this article, we review NVIDIA’s newest line-up of RTX (Ray Tracing Platform) graphic cards, which offer the advantage of "real-time" ray tracing capability and DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling).
The main question in any gamer's mind is whether their choice of a graphic card within their budget will suit their gaming needs. With NVIDIA, to see a demo of its real-time ray tracing capabilities you just need to check out an NVIDIA-backed RTX version of Minecraft with realistic lighting and reflections.
You may think these RTX cards would cost astronomically more than NVIDIA’s 10-series graphics cards, but they don't! The RTX GPU card lineup has a starting price of around $299 for the RTX 2060. Compared to the GTX 1660 TI, the RTX 2060 has a better measurable performance for a price tag of only about $20 more, well worth the extra graphical joy you get from the upgrade. The RTX 2060 offers a better cost-performance balance given its superior performance when benchmarked against the GTX 1070 and a price tag which is about $115 lower than the GTX card.
The only card that measurably compares well to the RTX 2060 on the GTX series would be the flagship GTX 1080 which costs around $200 more. Even there, the next generation RTX 2060 S (Super), surpasses the performance of GTX 1080 while it costs about $100 less.
If your budget can approach $500, you should look into the RTX 2070 Super. The RTX 2070 Super performance rivals the premium high-end performance of the GTX 1080 TI card, and for $300 less.
As seen, NVIDIA's line up seems to offer great choices for your budget and graphics performance needs. Our technology editors have listed their suggestions sorted by cost (budget) in this table:
The prices of NVIDIAs GPU's are rather stable, but recently have dropped on some models by around 14%. Amazon, Newegg, and NVIDIA usually offer good price and product selections and occasionally discounts during major sales holidays such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Currently, NVIDIA offers the lowest priced Founders Edition cards (FE), although supplied are tight. On the other hand, you can find on Amazon and Newegg variations by well-known brands that can overclock and customize the graphics card to the user's specification while within a $50 range of the original card.
Additionally, you can use price-tracker extensions such as Honey, to track the price of your favorite cards and move in when it reaches your target budget.
