How the volcano in Iceland hurt Ebi's plans?
Javanan Magazine reports that famed Iranian pop singer, Ebi, was informed during his April fundraiser concert in London that Andranik, composer and conductor of the chamber orchestra was unable to travel to London due to problems caused by the volcanic ashes from Iceland. Instead of canceling the concert, Ebi and his musician friends who made it to London on boats, trains and buses, worked for one full week to prepare for the successful concert in the Royal Albert Hall of London. The event was a fundraiser to support the Persian Community for Multiple Sclerosis charity.
In addition to occasional fundraisers, Ebi also participates in pro-democracy rallies in solidarity with the people and Green reform movement in Iran. The picture is from a July 9, 2009 rally in Los Angeles (from Ebi's facebook page).
