Iranian-born Sam Nazarian: Builds entertainment empire, loses girlfriend

Iranian born Sam Nazarian is the founder and CEO of SBE Entertainment Group, an investment and holding company specializing in high end luxury hotels, restaurants and night clubs in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Miami. Their brands include the plush SLS hotel chain, Sahara Hotels and Casino (Las Vegas), The Colony night clubs and Hyde Lounge, which had its grand opening at Staples Center on the night Iranian NBA player Hamed Haddadi played there along Memphis Grizzlies.
Nazarian was an invited speaker to the popular Iranian-American event "Passing the Torch of Success" in 2009. His net worth is estimated at $150 Million and his home in the Hollywood Hills, sprawling across 6,000 square feet and cantilevered from a cliff face, embraces a multitude of fantasies of Californian living, from the Rat Pack to David Hockney’s Bigger Splash. His pool deck can entertain 200 guests, he has his own screening room complete with classic Cretor popcorn machine, and the panoramic view through floor to ceiling glass from his lounge evokes architectural photographer Julius Shulman’s most glamorous work. Nazarian was named by Los Angeles Times in 2006 as one of the 122 most influential personalities in Southern California.
Despite his success in business, Nazarian has recently had a disgraceful break up with girlfriend, star of MTV’s “The Hills” Kristin Cavallari. Apparently Cavallari made an unexpected visit in March to Nazarian's Los Angeles apartment while he was away only to find Nazarian's New York girlfriend in bedroom.

Some racist media used the break up incident to attack Nazarian by calling him a Muslim "Sheik" believing in polygamy! But Nazarian is of Iranian Jewish descent and not Muslim. Ms. Cavallari is not a saint either. She is known for her flirtatious behavior and has told People Magazine that she is "always on a manhunt." She started dating actor Brody Jenner right after breaking up with Nazarian, and then broke up with Jenner less than two months later. She also recently posed in some sexy photographs for French fashion magazine Dirrty.
