The new form of Kambiz Ghorbani, Googoosh's son
Googoosh divorced Kambiz's father, Mahmoud Ghorbani, a powerful former owner of nightclubs in Iran, because of his mistreatment and possibly abuse of Googoosh. Kambiz's departure as a teenager from Iran with his father separated him from his motherland and mother for years, and caused him psychological scars. Upon arrival in Los Angeles, Kambiz introduced the first Iranian hip hop and rap music in the 80's. His creative album "shokolat" was somewhat successful but Kambiz decided not to use his mother's name and credit to boost album's popularity and sales. Kambiz also collaborated with his half-brother Shahram Kashani, on some pop music albums. Shahram's mother was also briefly married to Mahmoud Ghorbani.
Kambiz briefly worked as co-host in one of Iranian entertainment satellite TV stations based in Los Angeles, and in later years chose a private life. He is believed to be single and have 2 children (his first wife in picture). Kambiz enjoys drag car racing and biking and is said to have a private bodyguard and escort company. Like his half-brother Shahram Kashani, Kambiz admits to have a rebellious and thrill seeking spirit and expensive habits. But unlike Shahram, Kambiz's public persona is less of a party boy and more of a reserved and hard working sports enthusiast.
There are harsh comments on Youtube about Kambiz such as "Googoosh should have had an abortion!" or "Kambiz is a rich mama's boy with expensive hobbies." But those who know Kambiz in person, indicate that despite Kambiz's expensive habits and past problems in his personal and business life, Kambiz has a toughened and resilient fighting spirit. His new pictures (above and below) on his Facebook page show Kambiz (or Nick as his nickname) interested in body building and extreme sports. Through ripped physique and tough exercise routines Kambiz is showing that he is Not a mama's boy. Anyone who doubts that can try to take Kambiz on!
