Shah's 1960 Plymouth XNR Concept Car

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the former (late) Shah of Iran had something in common. Their cars went up for auction in recent times. The Shah’s car (pictured above) is a concept car by noted Chrysler designer Virgil Exner. It is a classic 1960 Plymouth XNR with a reported top speed of 150 MPH. Ahmadinejad’s (pictured beow) is a 1977 French Peugeot 504, which, according to Wikipedia is a common ”bush” taxi in Africa with a current list price of $2,000:
