Was it Karma? How the Mastermind of Iraq War and Aspartame Died of Cancer

The former US Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld who recently died, was known as the mastermind behind US invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan and a strong proponent of invading Iran. By some conservative estimates, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars have cost US taxpayers more than $6 trillion and left a trail of destruction in the middle east. But many people may not realize that long before waging wars, Rumsfeld was a lobbyist for an artificial sweetener linked to cancer.
In 1981, helped by President Reagan and US Food and Drug Administration, Rumsfeld lobbied for and masterminded approval of artificial sweetener aspartame for use in diet products despite numerous objections and strong evidence linking it to cancer.
Some may call it karma that Rumsfeld in fact died of multiple myeloma, one of the types of cancers linked to aspartame and diet products.
