Why is Lifespan Dropping in the US and Iran?

It looks like we humans are not only abusing mother nature but also our own bodies! New statistics show average lifespans are declining in many countries. For example, the average life expectancy in the U.S. has been on the decline for three consecutive years, which is not to be expected of an advanced nation spending more money per citizen on health care than any other country. For American men born in 2019, the average life expectancy is now at 76 years (vs. 80 in Canada).
The U.S. isn’t alone. A study projected the U.K. lifespan will shorten by about five months. While life expectancy is still on the rise in France, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands, those countries have also seen a sharp slowdown.
In Iran, average life expectancy for men has dropped to 63-64 years. Heart disease, cancer, pulmonary diseases and accidents are among leading causes of death in Iran.

- In Iran, Death rates are highest in these provinces: By Cancer in Mazandaran, by heart disease in Khuzistan, by pulmonary diseases in Kerman, and by accidents in Sistan.
- In 2017, more than 70,000 US deaths occurred because of drug overdoses. Liver disease (caused by unhealthy food and lifestyle) and suicide were also responsible for the decline in life expectancy.
- Hawaii is the US state with the highest life expectancy at birth being 81.5 years, Followed by California, Minnesota, New York and Connecticut, mostly Democratic and politically liberal states.
- Men in Mississippi have the lowest expectancy of life in any state, at 71.4 years, followed by West Virginia, Alabama and Kentucky, mostly Republican, politically
- The US is expected to drop 21 places in global life expectancy ranking by 2040 (to 64th).
