"Give the Gift of Books" for Norooz, Trending in Iran

Independent Aggregator of Iran-related News/Events, Kodoom.com: Every Norooz (Spring Equinox) Iranians celebrate their new year by visiting and offering gifts and cash to younger relatives and friends. But this year, a "Give the Gift of Books" movement has gone viral and a record number of 754 bookstores have signed up to participate in the discount program.

Iran has one of the largest populations of college graduates in the Middle East and Asia, but it has a low per capita book reading time, reported at 74 minutes a year.
