Hijab Wars Continue: FIFA Pressures Iran as Female Gynecologist is Sentenced to Free Labor!

Despite the economic crisis paralyzing the country, Iran's conservative Ayatollahs continue their iron-fist policy to control women's appearance and cover. Even Iran's regional allies and neighbors such as Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Syria have more relaxed policies when it comes to Hijab (head and body cover in public).
Recently, an Italian columnist posted a satirical (fake) video on his twitter account mocking the way Iranian state-run (Islamic) TV censors images of uncovered women while broadcasting international sport events (link).
But the recent death by self immolation (burning) of Sahar Khodayari, the girl (football fan) who protested mandatory Hijab right in front of a stadium and then the Islamic Judicial Court, has put Iranian government on defense and forced FIFA to pressure the government to allow women in stadiums.
Suicide rates among young and middle aged Iranians, particularly women, have been on the rise. Tehran subway, residential towers, and bridges such as Tabeat (Nature) bridge have witnessed numerous jump-to-death style suicides. Protesting mandatory Hijab has also been on the rise by Iranian women, including a group named "Daughters of Revolution Street," and even the daughter of former president Rafsanjani, a founder of Iran's Islamic Revolution (news link).
But Iran's Judiciary and conservative radicals are still on the offensive. Recently, a female gynecologist was sentenced to one year of free labor for protesting mandatory Hijab (news link). Because the female doctor had removed Hijab (head cover) to protest the pressure by police, she was sentenced by an Islamic court in Alborz not to prison but to 1000 hours of free visitation of patients and performing 14 free surgeries, basically depriving her of about a year of income!
Separately, Saba Kamali, a well known actress was arrested on charges of insulting the prophet's family after complaining, in an imaginary conversation, to Shia Imam Hussein about Sahar and women's rights in Iran.
