Iranian American Involved in Elon Musk's Litigation Against Twitter
A US judge has ordered Twitter to collect and produce documents from Kayvon Beykpour related to spam or "bot" accounts and hand it over to Elon Musk's legal team. The Iranian American Beykpour (left in picture) is Twitter's former general manager for consumer who was fired by the company CEO Parag Agrawal in May.
After his sacking, a disappointed Beykpour had said that Agrawal asked him to leave because he wants to "take the team in a different direction."
Beykpour may have been referring to Musk's effort to steer Twitter away from accusations of being pro-government or pro-Democratic party (following suspension of Donald Trump).
Twitter has also been accused of allowing a large number of fake (bot) accounts as well as silencing real (non-bot) scientists and individual bloggers who have questioned the safety of mRNA vaccines or criticized officials like Dr. Fauci.
Job interest in Twitter surged by 250% in the weeks following the announcement of his takeover but Musk claims he was hoodwinked by Twitter into signing a $44 billion merger agreement. Amid the ongoing legal dispute, Musk has challenged Agrawal to have a public debate on fake accounts and spam.The Tesla CEO has said that if Twitter CEO Agrawal can prove the actual number of fake accounts, then the terminated deal can still move forward.
