Obama's hopeful message for Norooz (Iranian New Year)
US President Barack Obama offered holiday greetings to Iranians and welcomed "a chance for a different future" between the two countries. Norooz (meaning new day in Persian) is Iran's ancient new year tradition and starts with spring equinox:
