Shohreh Aghdashloo Winner of 2009 Emmy Award for Supporting Actress, Wears Green wristband
In tonight's 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre, the 57-year old Iranian-born Actress, Shohreh Aghdashloo, won the BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE award for her role in the "House Of Saddam" (HBO). Aghdashloo has been acting in movies and TV series. Aghdashloo also co-founded the Los Angeles-based Drama company, Workshop '79, with his actor husband Houshang Touzie, in memory of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, and to produce quality Drama works in Farsi outside. Iran She was noticeably wearing a green wristband tonight in solidarity with the Iranian reformist "Green" movement, opposing the recent bloodshed, mass arrests, and human rights abuses by Iranian government led by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
