Woman's Statue Labeled Immodest, Removed for Showing Her Ankle

According to Iranian news sources, in the city of Gorgan in northern Iran, the statue of a woman has been labeled immodest and removed because it showed parts of her ankle.
Rohollah Hosseini, the Director of Social Affairs in Golestan Province thanked the Islamic Revolutionary Judiciary for removing the immodest statue.
The statue named "Lonely Together" (Tanha Ba Ham in Persian) shows a husband and wife and their son each checking their own phone and text messages instead of communicating with each other or enjoying nature or each other's company.
The woman was wearing a headscarf and most of her body was covered according to Iran's strict Islamic modesty rules, except her ankles. It's unclear if she was wearing socks or not.
Iran is one of the only remaining countries in the world that mandates Hijab for women and requires them to cover their hair and body with loose garments.
