Lahijan Tea Leaf Harvest Season
Tea leaf harvesting is done in three seasons: Spring, summer and autumn. The industry employs some 55000 tea planters and harvesters.
90% of Iran's tea farms are located in Gilan province and the remaining 10% in Mazandaran. The city of Lahjan in Gilan is called Iran's Tea Capital.
Anzali Aquarium
The Fantastic Aquarium, Iran's largest marine life aquarium, is located in the Northern city of Anzali.
The aquarium spans over 10000 square meters and hosts a 40 meter underwater tunnel and some 200 marine species.
