Iranian models with Hijab open Maserati's dealership in Tehran
Persian News Engine, Kodoom.com: Despite Iran's harsh economic conditions, the luxury car manufactuerer Maserati has opened a dealership location in Tehran. The opening ceremony was riddled with controversy. It was reported that the investment came from the jailed Iranian mafia tycoon Babak Zanjani. The opening ceremony was also controversial for its use of tall attractive female Iranian models who - dressed in "permitted" Islamic Hijab - greeted participants with tantalizing smiles and poses (pictured above - Click on image for enlargement).
Islamic clerics and media in Iran often condemn Western cultures for using women as commercial and marketing tools promoting immodesty. In fairness, the female models used in Maserati's Tehran branch were more modestly covered than those used in European shows and ceremonies (examples shown below).
