Iranian Students Abroad in Abject Conditions Following Currency Crisis
Independent Aggregator of Iran-related News/Events, Kodoom.com: Thousands of Iranian students studying abroad are feeling the pain of Trump-imposed sanctions and new foreign exchange policies announced by Iran's Central Bank that will restrict students' access to subsidized currency rates in response to the Iranian rial's devaluation and foreign currency shortages, according to a report by Al-Monitor. In January, one US dollar fetched 44,500 rials on the open market. Today, it takes more than 120,000 rials to equal one dollar.
