This 1972 Study Predicted The Planet Would Revolt Against Humans in 2020

Although not directly forecasting coronavirus, The 1972 "The Limits to Growth" (LTG) study, a computer simulation of "exponential economic and population growth with a finite supply of resources" had predicted global population as well as food and services per capita would peak around 2020, followed by a rapid decline due to serious natural events. The declines is triggered by overexploitation of natural resources by constantly expanding physical growth and human material needs. The authors did not specifically predict the cause of decline such as global warming, coronavirus or other pandemics, but their accurate simulations point to human prosperity reaching a peak around 2020 caused by the planet's reaction and resistance to imbalances created by humans excesses, consumerism and non-sustainable hunger for growth.
