Continued exodus at Persian Service of Voice of America (VOA)
Recent rumors of a new round of staff expulsions at the Persian Service of Voice of America (VOA), named Persian News Network (PNN), were confirmed yesterday by prominent Iranian reformist and former PNN's political analyst Dr. Mohsen Sazegara. In his new video (seen below - in Persian) Sazegara discusses the breach of trust with PNN's new management:
The new round of pink slips at PNN has apparently affected Ahmad Batebi, Koroush Sehati, Jamshid Chalangi and Rudi Bakhtiar (former CNN anchor and human rights activist), all with reformist views opposing Iranian government. Dr. Sazegara claims PNN's popularity rating has dropped to 7% among Iranians.
