Vandalism to banks, mosques blamed on protest movement organized by former Iranian TV anchor
Independent Aggregator of Iran-related News/Events, Kodoom.com: Hit and Run damages inflicted on Iranian embassies abroad or banks, currency exchange centers and mosques in Tehran have been blamed on "ReStart," a hit-and-run protest campaign organized on Youtube by exiled dissident Iranian TV anchor, Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, who escaped Iran in 2005.
In his "Rock and Fire Challenge," Hosseini has asked his fans opposing the theocratic tyranny of Ayatollahs in Iran to throw rocks or fire at government operated centers. Most recently the Javad Al-aemeh mosque in Eastern Tehran (video below) was set ablaze by an anonymous attacker who was inspired by the ReStart movement, according to Iranian media.
Hosseini who was once among the most popular anchors on Iranian TV and now lives in the United States, is perhaps inspired by AntiFa, a political movement of autonomous, self-styled anti-fascist groups resorting to direct action. AntiFa was blamed by Trump for provoking confrontations with Trump fans and right wing groups.
