Zarif's Shocking Claim in Leaked Audiotape: Russia, with Commander Soleymani, Did All it Can to Sabotage the Nuclear Deal

A leaked audiotape from an interview with Javad Zarif, Iran's Foreign Minister, has caused outrage in Iran's pro-Russia and conservative circles. In the audio tape, Zarif refers to Russia's relentless efforts to derail the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), known commonly as the Iran nuclear deal. In the interview, Zarif laments Russia's detrimental role in trying to sabotage the Iran Nuclear Deal:
"Russia worked against Iran's interests at every turn... As we were making progress in the negotiations, Russia tried to deprive Iran of our enrichment leverage by offering to supply enriched uranium for Bushehr power plant.. Then they requested a meeting with Commander Soleymani of Qods Force.. It was all without my consent.. Shortly afterwards, there were attacks on the Saudi embassy in Tehran, attacks on American boats, Continuation of military logistics flights with Iran Air to Syria and engagement of Iran's land forces in Syria... As Lavrov tried to delay our progress by flying back to Russia, I worked with John Kerry to ensure progress continues and sanctions do not hold.. I was often not even informed of military operations by the Qods Force..I was asked to always sacrifice diplomacy at the altar of ground (military) operations."
"Ahmadinejad, despite his rhetoric, was the most eager to negotiate with American senators.. His rhetoric against Israel greatly harmed our national interest and diplomacy and immensely benefited Israel and Saudi Arabia.."
