Analysts Suspect Israel was Behind Raisi's Death
Several Persian-speaking news analysts, both in Iran and Israel, as well as non-Persian commentators, consider Israel's MOSSAD a key suspect in the mysterious crash of President Raisi's helicopter and his death. Even on Twitter, the keyword MOSSAD was trending shortly following Raisi's death with many accounts boasting or speculating about Israel's power in silently pulling off a major blow to Iran. Among the reasons mentioned are Statement by Raisi's Chief of staff about normal weather conditions during the helicopter flight which makes sabotage or targeted hits as likely causes of the crash.
Times of India's speculations:
Menashe Amir, Israel's Persian-speaking news analyst mentions MOSSAD as a likely suspect in the fatal crash, responding to direct threats made by Iran against Netanyahu and high level Israeli officials. He confirms Israel is a close ally of Azerbaijan's President who met Raisi shortly before Raisi's death. He says Iran's inability to protect its own President has greatly embarrassed the country's leadership.
Mehdi Khazali, Iranian reformist and a critic of the current government, points out to Israel as a likely suspect in Raisi's death, and believes the Speaker of Iran's Congress Mr. Ghalibaf, is a likely replacement for Raisi. Ghalibaf is known as a pro-Western politician who has been at odds with pro-Russian conservative Islamist circles.
Ata Bahrami, Iranian political commentator points out to Azerbaijan's President (Aliyev) as an accomplice to MOSSAD in Raisi's death:
Amin Fardin, a Persian video blogger based in Europe compares the contradictory statements made by two survivors of the trip, Raisi's Chief of staff with those made by his Transportation Minister and concludes the likelihood of a targeted hit or sabotage.
