Did Zarif's Meaningful Gift to Kerry Saved the Nuclear Talks?
Independent News/Events Search Engine, Kodoom.com: According to Parviz Esmaili, a high level Iranian official in President Rohani's Office, during one of the difficult stages of the Nuclear negotiations, the American delegations seriously questioned Iran's technical calculations as not detailed or specific enough to be accurate. The impasse lasted for some time until Foreign Minister Zarif walked to Secretary Kerry with a copy of Works by Master Farshchian, Iran's prominent artist known worldwide for his exquisite drawings, rug designs, and attention to details. Zarif offered the book as a gift to Kerry and reminded him that Iranians, with a long history of fine arts, exquisite Persian rugs and complex early architectures are indeed detail oriented and take offense when accused of not paying attention to specifics.
Apparently the gift and quip worked as ice breakers ending the impasse. The gift is now recorded in US Federal Registry.
Master Farschchian lives between New Jersey and Iran. You can see a sample of his events and news by searching related keywords in Kodoom search engine here.
