Double Iran-US agent warned US of September 11 attack??
A privately owned Washington-based Iranian TV has aired interviews with allegedly a former Iranian spy who claims he was ignored when he warned CIA in July 2001 about plans made inside Iran for September 11 attacks. Hamid Reza Zakeri, who has spoken on Mardom TV, claims he later worked as a mole for US intelligence services inside Iran's intelligence department. He has cooperated with French, Canadian and American intelligence services.
His former wife's uncle is Akbar Hashemi Rafsajani, the powerful Head of the Expediency Council and former Speaker of Iran's parliament. Zakeri's claims about September 11 have been confirmed by Ken Timmerman, the controversial Pro-Israeli conservative Republican activist in his book "Countdown to Crisis." Zakeri was also among expert witnesses in December 2011 September 11 trials in New York in which Judge George Daniels ruled that 9/11 happened because of Iran and Hezbollah’s direct support for the plotters, especially the hijackers.
Critics, however, call Mr. Zakeri a fabricator. Gareth Porter writes in Trughout: CIA officials denied categorically to Timmerman that Zakeri had given any such warning to the Embassy and called Zakeri "a fabricator of monumental proportions" and "a serial fabricator." Zakeri failed an FBI polygraph test in 2003, according to Timmerman.
