Former confidant claims Reza Pahlavi was funded by Saudi Arabia and CIA
In a series of books and interviews on Mardom TV and Roodast, Ahmad Ali Massoud Ansari, a second cousin of Iran's former Queen, Farah Pahlavi, and a former confidant, claims Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of the former deposed Shah (King) of Iran, and his aides such as Shariar Ahi, have been funded in the past by Saudi Arabia and CIA. Mr. Ansari also shares details of moral and ethical promiscuity of the prince, when young, and his aides.
Mr. Ansari also claims Queen Farah Diba (Pahlavi) had leftist views and an affair with a leftist activist named Javadi, which weakened the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last king (Shah) of the Pahlavi dynasty who was overthrown in the 1979 Islamic revolution.
In January, Reza Pahlavi, who is supporting demonstrations in Iran and Trump's policy to overthrow the Iranian government, was attacked by Paulo Coelho, Brazil's best selling novelist and one of the most followed and popular social commentators among Iranians and intellectuals in the world (news link). Referring to Reza Pahlavi, Coelho tweeted: "Shut up. SAVAK is dead, and the Iranian people will rally to support their country if you ever ask for another coup d'etat like the one orchestrated by CIA in 1953.. I fully support the Iranian people, not morons like this 'heir of the throne' asking for foreign interference, like many here on twitter."
After several pro-Pahlavi and Iranian Kingdom loyalists protested Coelho and burned his books, Coelho Tweeted to his 15 million followers: "I am used to see this scene with my titles in many countries during the past few years - keeping alive the Nazi tradition of burning books... And I believe that Iranians have the last saying on their fate, without external interference - they are strong and intelligent enough."
