Future of Iran Discussed in Munich Security Conference: Largest Anti-Regime Protest in Europe
Facilitated by Christiane Amanpour at the Munich Security Conference, key voices discuss Iran’s human rights and geopolitical challenges. In the first video US Senator Lindsey Graham, President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola and Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Karim Sadjadpour discusses the future scenarios for of Iran.
In an earlier session, exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi and human rights advocate Nazanin Boniadi addressed the global community on freedom, accountability, and Iran’s international role:
Separately, Ukraine's President Zelensky Mets Reza Pahlavi in Munich on February 13, to focus on Iran's drone supplies to Russia and shared fights against oppression, with Zelenskyy calling for swift global sanctions against Iranian Ayatollahs. Pahlavi thanked Ukraine for its stance and positioned himself as a bridge to a democratic referendum in Iran. Tensions spilled into Munich's streets, where 250,000 from the Iranian diaspora rallied—the largest anti-regime protest in Europe—joined by U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham waving Iran's historic (lion and sun) flags.
