Infants raised as pro-government militia in Iran
Zohreh Abbasi, the female commander of Haj Moosayee Unit of pro-government Iranian women militia (Basij) has shared with Fars News Agency that for the past six years, 23 baby girls have been introduced to the "blossoms of Haj Moosayee" program as future militia members by their mothers. The program allows any girl older than 40 days old to be registered as a militia (Basij) member. Girls are trained in ideological (Islamic) and military camps.
