Iran's Militia Chief in Farewell Speech: Trusting America Will Only Hurt Iran
Independent Aggregator of Iran-related News/Events, Kodoom.com: Iran's former militia (Basij) Chief, Mohammad Reza Naghdi lashed out against Prsident Rohani and Iranian reformists during his farewell speech: "Reformists had dreamed about benefits of a successful Nuclear Deal for the country, such as unfreezing $2 Billion of Iranian assets abroad, but we are now told we have to spend an additional $16 Billion, and they may also Renege!"

Naghdi, like other conservatives, opposed Nuclear Peace negotiations championed by President Rohani and Minister Zarif.

Naghdi, received a hero reception by Basij members (Picture). Naghdi, who like many other militia members was raised in the poor working class neighborhoods of Southern Tehran, pledged his allegiance to Iran's Leader Ayatollah Khamanei: "We have a long waiting list of volunteers to fight in Syria but our enemies could not even pay to recruit enough mercenaries to fight for them in Syria or against us. .. I will do my duty, wherever I am, to be at the forefront of our battle against America."
At least 50 volunteer Basiji student fighters have been killed so far in Syria, according to a recent announcement by Student Militia organization.

In this ceremony, leaders of Basij and Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) posed in a group picture with a defiant clinched fist in the air.
