Israel and Iran Signal What Comes Next in the Middle East
What happens following the collapse of the Syrian government? The following news and videos can help shed some light on events to come in this tumultuous part of the world which is now more vital to China's oil interest than America:
Turkey and Israel are carving Buffer Zones and Expanding their Territories. Kurds May be Next
While infighting is already starting among ragtag Syrian rebels, the stronger well-equipped armies of Israel and Turkey are carving out Syrian land on their borders and annexing it, at least for the time being, to their territory. Kurds in Syria, Iraq, Turkey and even Iran may now have a historic moment to unite and carve out their own Kurdish Republic/country which would be large, rich and powerful, only if the Kurds could organize and unite their armed forces.
Interestingly, Russian military bases in Syria have been mostly spared by Israel and rebels. There is evidence that Russians and Assad coordinated with Israel and kept Iranians in the dark as Assad planned to leave for Russia to save his life (from Israel's threats) and Russia's Ukraine position in a deal made between Russia, US and Israel. Iranian Ambassador to Syria has implied that Assad chose personal and Russian interests over Iran's:
The Main Losers
It appears that the Shia axis of Hezbollah, Syria, Iraq and Iran is already half destroyed. Iraq may be next. The Arab ethnicities in Lebanon, Iraq and Syria, both Sunni and Shia, may soon welcome post-war investments by Saudi Arabia and Emirates, and hang up their swords (guns!) against each other or Kurds or Israelis. The India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) plan is already in place to economically and strategically connect India to Europe through the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Greece. If this happens and Kurds form their own Republic, Iran's theocratic government would lose influence over Lebanon and Kurdish regions. This together with a crippled economy, Trump's second term in office, Russia's alignment with Trump and Saudi Arabia, and continued domestic unrest (Woman, Life, Freedom movement), could cripple the Iranian regime and make it prone to be overthrown via a popular uprising or an attack by organized rebel groups or armies.
In fact, in his third message to Iranian people, Netanyahu implies the fall of Iran's theocratic government may be coming sooner than many think:
On the other hand, Iran's supreme Leader, implies Turkey was involved in the anti-Iranian plot in Syria but mainly blamed the Syrian Army for not resisting. He also blamed Israel and the US as masterminds of the Syrian events and admitted set backs to Iranian forces in getting supplies and forces to Syria because "American and Israeli air forces were not allowing any movement in the air or on the ground towards Syria."
As always, the Supreme Leader blamed "enemies" for Iran's strategic setbacks, reiterated the strength of "Resistance" and harshly warned (threatened) critics inside Iran not to speak in such a critical way to weaken the morale. These remarks seem intended for the regime's own supporters who have turned into critics in the aftermath of numerous strategic military and economic blunders.
It appears that whatever happens next, the Middle East is moving away from theocratic and ideological powers towards business and ethno-centric powers. The governments in Afghanistan and Iran seem to be closely watching this trend, which has already prompted Saudi Arabia and Turkey to merge nationalism with a milder version of religion.
