Vahedi quotes (in Persian) an Iranian MP to point out to a history of Russia's delays in keeping promises to support Iran's transportation, nuclear and defense industries. He claims Russia will benefit from dragging Iran into a war with Israel and from keeping Iran permanently dependent on Russia, while distracting the world's attention and US resources away from Ukraine and Russia:
