Many people have not even received the coupons and are really on the edge, having enough food for just a few days. Bazaar business is mostly suspended given the free fall of Iranian currency and instability. Even the wealthy are anxious, exchanging for gold and dollars, preparing for a quick exit. Internet had to be connected because it had crippled the economy. For example, online money transfer and transactions were mostly suspended except in smaller amounts that had to be direct deposits in person in bank branches. The atmosphere of uncertainty is unprecedented, which has halted economic activities. Families and friends are supporting each other but there are too many people in need. Everything seems fragile.

- Reports from Iranian Nurse Associations confirm on the night of the crackdown, nurses had to work 14 hour shifts to treat thousands of injuries in patients as young as three years old. So far some 13000 surgeries have been done with many people still showing up to treat their injuries. Farabi hospital alone treated some 1000 patients for eye injuries (with bullets). Doctors and nurses were additionally stressed by Police and security forces storming the hospitals looking for protesters. Many nurses say “After that night, Life in Iranian hospitals will never be the same!”
