Former Facebook executive Chamath Palihapitiya feels tremendous guilt for building applications that are ripping apart society. He urges everyone to take a hard break from these tools. He says he does not post much on Facebook because he does not want to be "programmed."

Chamath Palihapitiya is a venture capitalist who was born in Sri Lanka, raised in Canada, and has worked for much of his life in Silicon Valley. Palihapitiya is an owner and board member of the Golden State Warriors.
