CNN, NPR and other news media have reported large voter turnout in Iran. A large number of prominent Iranian movie stars, filmmakers (such as Farhadi and Motamed Aria in Cannes), and athletes have been seen casting their votes. Many of Iran's urban residents, young, middle-aged and educated voters, and celebrities support the re-election of Rohani, the reformist candidate, who championed the Nuclear Peace Deal.
