Indignant Girls Film Themselves Before Suicide in Isfahan
Recently the following video of two young girls, self-taken minutes before Jumping from a bridge in Isfahan went viral on Iranian media. The 15-year-old died and the 16 year old survived the fall and remains in critical condition. The girls talk about their need for love in the video.
According to Iranian media, high suicide rates among young Iranians may be attributed to high unemployment, and repressive laws that impose Hijab and ban parties, dance, free internet access and social media.
Repressive conditions have also been blamed for recent protests and unrest across Iran. Iran is among the few Islamic countries that impose Hijab on women and ban parties and some music concerts.
