Iranian parliament may ban walking or owning dogs
Iranian news sources: 39 conservative members of Iranian parliament, mostly clergymen, have proposed a bill to ban walking dogs on streets or owning them in apartments, or in houses where any resident is objecting. The ban will include all pets considered "impure" and dirty in Islamic law, such as dogs. The bill has gone to several congressional commissions, including Judicial, Health, Culture, Domestic Affairs, and Councils, for detailed analysis.
