Parastooei joins Environmental Campaign to save Tehran, Nostalgic song goes viral (Video)
Famed Iranian actor and director Parviz Parastooei (Parastui) joins a new Environmental campaign to save Tehran with "I want my Tehran Back!" (man tehroonanom mikham), a nostalgic song that has gone viral:
Parastooei's song also has political themes, with references such as "It is dark everywhere" and "rabid dogs who even eat our bones!", as well as cultural ones referring to the "once kind" people of Tehran. On his Instagram page, Parastooei invites people in different cities to start similar campaigns to save their neglected cities from polluters and mass commercial development.
