Esteki becomes the first ever Iranian Top Scorer in a European Handball League
Independent Aggregator of Iran-related News/Events, Kodoom.com: The sport of handball is dominated by strong-bodied, fast, furious and high jumping players. Yet for the first time in Europe's history, an Iranian was announced as the Best player and Top Scorer of a professional Handball League.
Sajad Esteki, the Iranian handball player of Romanian Dinamo București team was announced as the best player in the Romanian League after scoring 68 goals in 9 matches in 2016.
Esteki was also the top scorer in the 2009 World Handball Championship with 65 goals.
Esteki, his older brother, Allah Karam, and fellow Iranian Alireza Syed Mousavi, are called the "Iranian Trio" in the Romanian media and undoubtedly among the best professional handball players in Romania and Europe.
