Iran's fastest female runner, Farzaneh Fasihi, stunned observers earlier this week after defeating, clad in Hijab, her tough rivals - many from Central Asia, in tight aerodynamic shorts, and taller than her - to win the gold medal in the 60-meter sprint competition in Indoor Cup Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.
In her competition with Kazakh rival, Fasihi could register 7.25 seconds, a new record for her. Fasihi had earlier registered 7.29 record in Belgrade competitions.
Fasihi is now the best athlete in the premier league and has joined Belgrade's Partizan Club.
