Iran Thrashes Well built USA, Swiss, Korean, French Teams to Win World Titles in Kabaddi, Karate (Video)
Independent Search Engine for Persian News and Events, Kodoom.com: In two separate world championship sports events, Iranian teams have won historic world titles.
In Kabaddi World Cup 2016 in Ahmadabad (India), Iran thrashed well built teams from USA, Thailand, Japan, Kenya and South Korea and lost to host India in the Finals to win silver.
In Karate World Championships 2016 in Linz (Austria), Iranians defeated top world teams from Switzerland, Azarbaijan and The Netherlands in individual weights.
In Kumite, Iran defeated France and Japan to win their first ever overall Third Standing in World Championship medal ranking. Iranian women team also won a bronze medal in Kumite by Hamideh Abbasali
Interestingly, the opening concert of the World Karate Championships in Linz, “Greeting the world,” included Karate acts over great music composed by Hermann Miesbauer and directed by Alexander Quasniczka.
