Iranians Incensed as they Prepare for World Cup Opener against England

England face Iran in their Group B World Cup opener on November 21 in Qatar but the game is already drawing a lot of attention because of The Sun's presumptuous headline “It’s Iranian Men — Hallelujah!”, indirectly dismissing Iranians and implying England’s supposedly easy draw for the World Cup.
Iran's Croatian head coach, Dragan Skocic has warned the Brits: “I know we can beat you.” Skocic who will take inspiration from his homeland’s World Cup semi-final win over England in 2018, has told his players they will NOT be in the squad for Qatar if they do not believe it, too.
A commentator at The Times has also issued some precaution: "We may be sniggering too soon. Iran are no mugs, ranked 21st in the world and the game is being played in the land of Iran’s closest allies, Qatar. They will have overwhelming and probably fanatical (in not entirely the nicest sense of the word) local support. We have never played them before."
Iran is in Group B, with USA, UK and either Wales, Scotland or Ukraine. Iran's squad includes superstars such as ex-Brighton footballer Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Porto’s Mehdi Taremi and Sardar Azmoun of Bayer Leverkusen.
