According to the official records, the ground sand temperature in the Gandom Beryan (literally toasted wheat) of Iran's Kavir Lut desert reached 78.4 degrees. Venturini received about 4.5 liters of intravenous physiological solution but also lost 5.5 kilograms of body mass. During his adventure, Venturini was accompanied by local guides helping him navigate, as well as cameramen recording him.
