Iranian Americans helping autistic children of mother with cancer
Independent Aggregator of Iran-related News/Events, Kodoom.com: Thanks to a philanthropic initiative, a GoFundMe page is now collecting help for medical expenses of autistic Iranian American children whose mother is suffering a fast spreading cancer (Leiomysarcoma) and whose Iranian American father is unable to support the family or even pay rent despite his two part-time jobs.
Several well known Iranian Americans such as Ebi's events manager, Mr. Rafahi, Andy, Morteza and others are pledging their support and the initiator of the campaign, Mr. Abshah (Abdeshah), will match the first $1000 in donations (Donations Page Link HERE). He writes: "Having two healthy kids of my own I found it extremely hurtful to see two young kids deprived of the love and caring of their mother who is suffering from a fast spreading cancer. Unfortunately both kids are autistic and neither are able to talk or function on their own. This family has been dealt a very bad hand and they have no one to turn to. Ironically even before the cancer diagnosis the family was facing huge financial burden related to the kids conditions as well as other life's challenges. After two years of constant battle with cancer the whole family is falling apart and now cancer is spreading to her spinal cord and her mouth. I wish I could talk directly to heavens and ask why?... My best option is to ask everyone to help this family with any amount possible and honestly I don’t know what else to do or to say. The family is behind in rent ($1400/month) and landlord is threatening to vacate them. Father makes less than $1800 per month after taxes, he is working two part time jobs and he takes care of the kids as best as he can. When the father is away or at work the kids need special baby sitter that can deal with autistic kids but unfortunately they can’t even afford regular babysitters let alone specialized ones."
