Afghan Star: Popular Afghan TV Talent Show
Afghan Star is a popular TV talent show, now in its twelfth season. Launched in 2005, the show has quickly become one of the most popular family oriented entertainment shows in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan's Persian (Farsi) language TV and Cinema are leading the society in a transition away from extremism. Afghan Farsi TV productions seem to be less sophisticated, and yet less censored, than Iranian TV programs.
